As we pause an reflect on the tragic events of 9/11 when both towers of the World Trade Center collapsed 18 years ago, where were you on September 11, 2001? As I was about to move from one place to another, I've lost my voice for the next 4-5 days upon hearing the news that both planes slammed into the twin towers.

I'd just got home from school, since it was mid-afternoon here in the UK when it happened. I was hoping to watch some anime when I got home... but, instead, those horrible TV pictures of the Twin Towers getting hit and collapsing .

At home watching THE TODAY SHOW and Katie Couric was showing the twin towers. I was shocked to see the first plane fly into the building and even MORE STUNNED that the 2nd. plane hit the other tower.

I was at home on the computer and my hubby was sleeping next to me. My fil came down into the basement where we were and told us about the 1st plane hitting the tower and then we turned on the tv and saw the 2rd plane hit the other tower. Then we were glued to the tv and saw everything unfold as the rest of the world did as well.

I was sick as a dog that day, I had a high fever, throwing up & just could hardly move I was so sick. So I called out sick from work that day & watched everything unfold on tv while huddling under the blankets in my bed. I'll never forget it.
I also will never forget afterwards, cause all of the planes were all forced to land & couldn't fly for a while. So for a long time it was weird not seeing planes fly over head. More so since the grocery store we go to isn't far from the local airport & not seeing any planes overhead for a week (or more) was just.. WEIRD & very unnerving.

I was on the phone with my mom complaining about a petty work situation in my life. All of a sudden she said, "Oh my God there are major terror attacks going on right now..." and as she began to explain what was happening she just told me in disbelief to turn any news channel on.
